Role Summary:
The Flight Doctor is responsible for leading clinical resuscitation and stabilization of patients in flight, while working as a multi-disciplined team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Lead all aspects of clinical care related to critical care transportation and flight medicine
• Liaise with other medical staff to ensure continuity of care
• Ensure that all medical records are properly kept and maintained
• Provision of clinical reporting into Iqarus Chief Medical Officer
• Support clinical mentoring for staff development
• Ensure best practice in line with clinical guidelines and SOPs
• Support the clinical excellence framework under direction from the Chief Medical Officer
• Provide liaison with external agencies where required to promote chain of care continuity and professional referral/patient handover
Qualifications:
A first-level degree in Medicine with a minimum of 3 years continuous progressively clinical experience post qualification. Postgraduate training in Anaesthesia or Emergency Medicine or Aero-Medicine with a minimum of three (3) years' post qualification experience.
