A Day in the Life: As a member of the UC organization, you will support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (IoT), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS. Within AWS UC, Amazon Dedicated Cloud (ADC) roles engage with AWS customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our Machine Learning (ML) Infrastructure team. The successful candidate will be responsible for building the tools that guarantee top performance of AWS ML and High Performance Computing (HPC) technologies developed by our organization.
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead engineer on a team that builds and maintains infrastructure monitoring and reporting functionality and performance of massive testing workloads run at scale.
- Use internal Amazon CI/CD tools, Linux, and public AWS products to automate delivery of software to customers, saving developer time.
- Write Python code that effortlessly sets up large clusters and runs benchmarks and applications for ML and HPC workloads.
- Use AWS Managed Grafana, Quicksight, OpenSearch and Athena to digest performance data generated by these workloads and create dashboards for developers and stakeholders.
- Invent automatic mechanisms to alert developers to functional and performance regressions so they never reach customers.
- Manage complexity of infrastructure covering many instance types, software stacks, Linux operating systems, cutting-edge releases and make it easy to evolve.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Candidate should have exceptional knowledge of CI/CD automation, ML and HPC benchmarks and applications.
- Prior experience with Jenkins, Linux, and public AWS products.
- Strong understanding of Python programming and ability to write efficient code.
- Familiarity with AWS Managed Grafana, Quicksight, OpenSearch and Athena.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
