About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our Global Accounting Delivery (GAD) team in Madrid, Spain. As a key member of our Purchase-to-Pay (PTP) team, you will be responsible for coordinating daily execution of correct PTP processes, ensuring seamless communication with Volvo Cars entities in the EMEA region and the Business Process Outsourcing delivery team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with different teams to ensure daily execution of correct PTP processes
  • Interface and point of contact for Volvo Cars entities in the EMEA region and the Business Process Outsourcing delivery team
  • Perform issue resolution of inquiries relating to PTP processes
  • Focus on self-billing invoice processes of direct materials and support indirect material processes
  • Analysis of overdue invoices, management of supplier inquiries, and approving invoice payment proposals
  • PTP period end activities, analysis of KPIs, account reconciliation review, and intercompany reconciliation
  • Phone support for supplier calls and problem-solving escalated tickets through the ticketing system
  • Coordinate projects in various areas and monitor rule-based activities performed by our Business Process Outsourcing delivery team
Requirements
  • Experience in Purchase-to-Pay processes in an international environment
  • Ability to work in a structured way, detect areas of improvement, and implement changes
  • Fluent in English, both verbally and written; other languages positively valued (Spanish, French, German)
  • Experience in SAP (MM/FI modules)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to plan and prioritize with a positive mindset
  • High integrity regarding work and great analytical skills
  • Service-minded and curious
