Our Policy in Action (PIA) Practice
We are expanding our services in our Policy in Action (PIA) practice, which focuses on delivering high-quality consulting services to our clients. To promote this growth, we are seeking a Programme Finance Specialist to join our team, working on the implementation of large European and UK contracts.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Financial Review: Provide monthly/quarterly updates to project managers of financial performance for a range of projects and programmes.
- Project Financial Administration: Accurately update various databases and spreadsheets with budgetary commitments and invoices, regularly checking and monitoring financial transactions.
- Project Evaluations: Manipulate data sets of completed projects in MS Power BI for evaluation and future pricing purposes.
- Project Set Up: Prepare project workbooks for entry of budgets into core systems.
- Resource Management (RM): Update the RM system with time budgets for projects and extract and prepare reports to assist forward planning of resource availability of the PIA team.
- Contract Amendments and Renewals: Assist with repricing of projects when contract updates are requested by clients.
- Purchase Order Requests: Raise POs for a wide variety of services, including subcontractors, travel bookings, and liaising with the internal Procurement team.
- Subcontractors: Monitor contracted days to days used in various spreadsheets and handle contract amendments.
- Travel Costs: Work with colleagues to maintain visibility and control of travel budgets through the PO system and spreadsheets.
- Travel Database: Provide an updated dashboard of travel-related statistics in MS Power BI.
Requirements
- Highly organized with a conscientious approach and great attention to detail.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the confidence and professionalism to liaise with external parties.
- Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage workload effectively, with increasing autonomy over time.
