Job Description

We're seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data Architect to join our dynamic Data Engineering & Cloud team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data modeling, database design, and data architecture.

As a Data Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing robust data models that ensure data integrity, scalability, and performance across various systems and applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models to meet the needs of business processes and technical requirements
  • Work closely with database administrators, data engineers, and software developers to implement data models into physical databases
  • Collaborate with data engineers and ETL developers to ensure seamless data integration from various sources into the data warehouse
  • Develop and maintain data architecture standards, ensuring consistency, scalability, and reusability across data models
  • Document data models and maintain metadata repositories to ensure data governance and easy data discovery
  • Work with data governance teams to implement data quality rules and ensure high data accuracy and consistency
  • Optimize database performance by refining data models, indexing strategies, and query performance
  • Engage with business stakeholders, analysts, and other technical teams to understand data requirements and provide solutions that meet business needs
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends and tools in data modeling, database management, and data architecture to recommend best practices and innovative solutions

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • 15+ years of experience in data modeling, database design, and data architecture
  • Proven experience with Data Vault and Kimball modeling
  • Data Vault 2.0 certification
  • Experience with relational and non-relational databases (e.g., SQL, NoSQL)
  • Hands-on experience with data warehousing solutions, data lakes, and big data technologies
  • Familiarity with data governance, data quality, and metadata management practices
