Job Summary
The R&D Verification Engineer II plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and functionality of ANSYS applications, such as LS-DYNA. This position assesses how well the product meets customer needs and ensures that product requirements and quality standards are satisfied.
Key Responsibilities
- Specify and write test cases, create, modify and update existing tests, write and maintain test scripts.
- Perform functional, application, regression and performance testing in manual and/or automated test environments and investigate possible causes of problems.
- Create test plans, participate in defect management and testing metrics.
- Apply standard techniques and procedures and comply with the company's overall development and testing processes.
- Work in a variety of computing environments: Linux, Windows, Virtual, Compute Clusters, Cloud.
- Test products at all levels: Workflow, Unit, Application, Performance.
Requirements
- BS in mechanical, civil, or structural engineering with 2 years of experience, or MS with no experience.
- Strong knowledge of structural and computational mechanics.
- Experience and/or academic exposure with FEA and CAE tools with knowledge of FE methods.
- Proficient in one or more programming or scripting languages: Python, C++, C#, Jscript, Perl.
