Frontend Software Engineer – Travel Tech Innovator –

Role Overview
As a seasoned JavaScript Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of travel technology at eDreams Odigeo. Our team is seeking an experienced professional to join our Travel Things Team in Barcelona or Madrid (Hybrid) and contribute to the development of a cutting-edge, one-stop-shop for customers to find the best travel options and enjoy exceptional post-booking service in our top-rated mobile app.
Key Responsibilities
• Collaborate with a top-notch tech stack, including ES6 code, ReactJS, Lodash, Graphql, and testing frameworks like Mocha, Chai, and Jest.
• Work with a distributed, scalable micro-services environment, where software gets deployed daily, with high-quality, clean code, SOLID principles, and TDD.
• Be part of a high-performing cross-functional team of developers, POs, UXers, QAs, data scientists, and more, all sharing the same values and focus on the customer.
• Develop powerful and advanced algorithms that drive innovation in travel tech.
• Leverage your technical expertise to code solutions with the highest quality, through good design, attention to detail, and test quality, as well as challenge decisions to help all teams improve technical excellence.
• Actively participate in product definition and ideation processes.
• Work in a fully agile organization, using Kanban practices to deliver business value continuously.
• Continuously learn and participate in workshops, hackathons, and other events, as we believe in staying active within the IT community.
• Own and monitor the performance of product and technical OKRs.
Requirements
• Strong mastery of JavaScript, ideally more than 5 years of experience working with JavaScript at scale.
• Strong knowledge of engineering fundamentals, including data structures, concurrency, design patterns, and algorithms.
• Great technical mindset to work in an environment promoting microservices platforms, clean code, SOLID principles, and TDD.
• Ability to code with the highest quality, through good design, attention to detail, and test quality.
• Knowledge of Cloud and Continuous Delivery environments to help deliver value quickly.
• Strong data-driven capabilities and design pattern skills to tackle business challenges.
• Be part of the product definition, identify improvement options, challenge decisions constructively, and provide creative solutions to complex problems, focusing on outcomes rather than tasks.
• Be a team player, with good communication and mentoring skills.
