Role Overview

The United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism is seeking a highly skilled Counter Terrorism Specialist to join its team in Madrid. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing key initiatives to support Member States in preventing and countering terrorism and violent extremism conducive to terrorism.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership on General Assembly counter-terrorism mandates across the United Nations System
• Enhance coordination and coherence across Global Counter-Terrorism Coordination Compact entities
• Strengthen delivery of United Nations counter-terrorism capacity-building assistance to Member States
• Improve visibility, advocacy, and resource mobilization for United Nations counter-terrorism efforts

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in counter-terrorism and experience working with Member States. Excellent communication and project management skills are essential for this role.
