Financial Accounting and Reporting Associate Director

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Accounting and Reporting Associate Director to join our Global Finance department at Glovo's Global HQ in Barcelona.

The Role

  • Lead the development and implementation of financial reporting strategies and processes to ensure accurate and timely financial information for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Ensure compliance with local statutory audit and reporting requirements, as well as IFRS and other relevant accounting standards.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local finance teams and HQ to ensure alignment and effective communication.
  • Lead and develop a team of 10+ people to achieve operational results and ensure alignment with key stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in finance or accounting.
  • 12+ years of proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a public traded group.
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and standards.
  • Experience with S/4HANA and OneStream is highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership and team mentoring skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
