Job Title: Intercompany Reconciliation Accountant

Page Personnel is seeking a highly skilled Intercompany Reconciliation Accountant to join our team in Madrid.

About the Role:

We are looking for a proactive and decisive individual with 5-6 years of experience in intercompany accounting and reconciliation, preferably in a multinational environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of international accounting regulations (IFRS, GAAP) and experience with ERP systems (such as SAP, Oracle, etc.).

Main Responsibilities:
  • Perform monthly reconciliation of intercompany accounts, ensuring all transactions between company entities are correctly recorded and squared.
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies in intercompany reconciliations, working closely with finance and accounting teams from different countries.
  • Prepare and review financial reports related to intercompany transactions, ensuring their accuracy and compliance with international regulations.
  • Collaborate in the monthly accounting closing process, ensuring the correct accounting of intercompany transactions and their reconciliation within established deadlines.
  • Support internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations in relation to intercompany accounts.
  • Develop and improve internal processes and controls related to intercompany account reconciliation, identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency.
  • Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations that may impact intercompany transactions and their reporting.
Requirements:
  • Experience: 5-6 years of experience in intercompany accounting and reconciliation, preferably in a multinational environment.
  • Education: Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. CPA, ACCA, or equivalent certification will be an asset.
  • Language: Advanced English, both written and spoken, is a must. Knowledge of other languages will be a plus. Additional proficiency in French would be advantageous for communicating with Operating Companies.
  • Technical Knowledge: Experience with ERP systems (such as SAP, Oracle, etc.) and a solid understanding of international accounting regulations (IFRS, GAAP).
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze and reconcile large volumes of financial data, with a high level of accuracy.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with multicultural and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Attention to Detail: Commitment to accuracy and consistency in all reconciliation and reporting tasks.
