Research Talent Position

We are seeking an exceptional researcher to join our team at the University of A Coru\u00f1a. The successful candidate will be part of a collaborative agreement between the Department of Culture, Education and University and the University of Coru\u00f1a (UDC) for the development of strategic actions at the Ferrol Industrial Campus.

Purpose of the Contract

The purpose of this contract is to recruit a researcher with tasks specific to the category and in line with the fulfilment of the research indicators on which the Agreement is based. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Generating synergies with CIF researchers
  • Attracting research personnel in training
  • Establishing national and international collaborative relationships with research groups and individual researchers
  • Attending national and international calls that allow funding for research
  • Disseminating research results in national and international environments that adapt to the CIF indicators
  • Promoting the development of research products (patents, software records) with transfer to the industry in accordance with the CIF philosophy
  • Publishing research results in high-impact journals
Objective

The objective of this call for 'Research Talent' is to hire a postdoctoral researcher and incorporate them into the CIF. The successful candidate will be expected to develop their research activity at the CIF, with projection and extensive international experience, under the sole criterion of excellence.

The contract will have a duration of 2 years and 9 months. During this time, the researcher may remain outside the CIF for a maximum period of 3 months each year, upon prior reasoned request to the CIF management and the Vice-Chancellor of the Ferrol Campus and Social Responsibility.

In exceptional cases, stays for longer periods may be authorized, always following a reasoned request from the researcher and for reasons of special interest for the development of the proposed research.
