About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Scientist to join our applied research and innovation team at NielsenIQ. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and applying machine learning innovations to drive business growth and improve consumer insights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and apply machine learning innovations to drive business growth and improve consumer insights
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate and deploy ML solutions
  • Analyze data to determine the most appropriate solution and communicate results and conclusions in a clear and concise manner
  • Work on multiple data challenges to ensure a combination of simplicity, scalability, reproducibility, and maintainability within ML solutions and source code

Requirements:

  • PhD/Masters in a specific area of AI/ML with scientific soundness and published papers
  • Hands-on expertise in Machine Learning, NLP, LMs, GenAI, signal processing, and data science
  • Previous experience with key information extraction, product retrieval, and product matching
  • EDA analysis and practical hands-on experience with datasets, ML models, and evaluations
  • Proficiency in Python, PyTorch, Git, pandas, dask, polars, scikit-learn, huggingface, Docker, and Databricks

Desired Skills:

  • Experience working with large datasets, production-grade code, and operationalization of ML solutions
  • Experience in MLOPs (MLFlow, Prefect) and deployment of AI/ML solutions to the cloud (especially Azure)
  • Robotic Process Automation and a practical grasp of databases (SQL, Elasticsearch, Pinecone, Faiss)
