About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Global Packaging Procurement Lead to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and implementing a category strategy for packaging materials, including glass, plastic, tools, metal/aluminum, rubber, and other subcategories.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and implement a category strategy for packaging materials
- Lead and evaluate RFI/RFP processes, providing bid award recommendations for approval
- Ensure successful supplier transitions aligned with global stakeholders and sponsors
- Develop and execute fully integrated category strategy plans that meet organizational objectives and ESG goals
- Maintain continuous in-depth knowledge of market conditions, industry trends, and developing new technologies
- Build relationships with key manufacturers and suppliers, ensuring the best quality against the most beneficial conditions
- Negotiate the best conditions for Fagron on price, payment terms, and service
- Discuss performance and initiatives with Global Procurement, Manufacturing Sites, and Management
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of work experience in the pharmaceutical or chemical industry
- Experience in procurement of packaging
- Fluent in English; other languages like Portuguese or Spanish are considered an advantage
- Ability to handle stress, deadlines, and pressure
- Core values: decisive, pro-active, communicative, and flexible
