Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director Electrical Power Engineer to support project design, supervise construction phases, and define processes and procedures for the operations phase.

This senior-level position requires a deep understanding of data center infrastructure and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery and operation of our data center projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of innovative electrical power solutions tailored for next-generation data centers, ensuring scalability, energy efficiency, and reliability.
  • Provide technical oversight and direction for complex electrical power system architectures, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to align with business objectives.
  • Drive the adoption of cutting-edge technologies and methodologies to optimize electrical power performance and cost-effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with design teams to establish and review advanced electrical power system specifications and requirements for data center projects.
  • Evaluate and select best-in-class electrical power components and systems, ensuring they meet rigorous performance and durability standards.
  • Ensure all power system designs align with global industry standards, sustainability goals, and future scalability.
  • Oversee the deployment, integration, and testing of electrical power systems during the construction phase.
  • Conduct in-depth site inspections to verify compliance with technical specifications and ensure the highest quality standards.
  • Act as the primary point of escalation for complex electrical power-related issues during project execution, working closely with contractors and vendors to resolve challenges efficiently.
  • Define and document advanced operational processes for the maintenance and optimization of electrical power systems.
  • Lead the implementation of predictive maintenance and diagnostic tools to ensure sustained power reliability and performance.
  • Provide strategic guidance and training to operations teams, enabling them to manage and maintain cutting-edge electrical power systems effectively.
  • Conduct ongoing research to identify emerging trends and technologies in electrical power engineering, incorporating relevant advancements into our data center strategies.
  • Partner with R&D teams to prototype and validate new electrical power solutions before large-scale deployment.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in electrical power engineering leadership roles within the data center industry.
  • Expertise in designing, implementing, and optimizing complex electrical power systems for large-scale data centers.
  • Strong understanding of data center infrastructure, including electrical power distribution, cooling systems, and network integration.
  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills, with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to travel to global data center sites as needed.
