About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Applicative Database Specialist to join our Digital & IT Supply Chain department at Arcelormittal Europe Flat Products. As a key member of our central European D&IT Supply Chain team, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing database services on cloud platforms, ensuring high availability and quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement database services on cloud platforms (Azure) and hosted services (PaaS, IaaS)
  • Administrate and act as an expert for MSSQL servers and Oracle
  • Use high-speed transaction recovery techniques and backup data
  • Take into account security policies and ensure data integrity
  • Be part of task forces to fix performance issues and be proactive regarding performance
  • Advise developers on using frameworks and enforce database policies, procedures, and standards
  • Ensure the platform is reliable and performant through testing, automation, and monitoring
  • Collaborate with other technical teams, including platforms teams and architects
Requirements
  • Master's degree in IT or a related technical field
  • Experience in a similar position would be an asset
  • Previous experience in application development is a clear advantage
  • Proactive, innovative, curious, and bold with excellent team spirit and strong communication skills in English
  • Technical knowledge of RDBMS Database (MSSQL, Oracle), Azure Cloud (IaaS, PaaS), Windows Server, Linux, and development experience (knowledgeable on.NET is a plus)
