Job Description



As a Senior Data Engineer at Visium, you will work with various stakeholders to provide business leaders with valuable insights from large and complex datasets. Starting from raw data, you will help build robust systems to make this data usable and accessible. Your primary responsibilities include:

  • Assessing and understanding client's data landscape and assessing data quality.
  • Working closely with business and IT stakeholders to understand business requirements.
  • Participating in technical sales activities.
  • Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and efficient data assets, including data pipelines, data lakes, data warehouses, and ETL processes based on well-known data platforms.
  • Building and managing data infrastructure, including data storage, processing, and access.
  • Implementing data models and schema designs to support data analysis and reporting needs.
  • Developing and maintaining data quality and data governance frameworks.
  • Creating data visualizations and reports to communicate insights to stakeholders.
  • Staying up-to-date with state-of-the-art data processing and analysis technologies.
  • Troubleshooting and debugging data-related issues.
  • Contributing to an exciting environment with a challenging team.

Requirements



To be successful in this role, you should have the following skills and qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience building data assets and pipelines using platforms like Databricks and Snowflake.
  • Proficient in cloud technologies (Azure, AWS) and related data services.
  • Skillful in data visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, and Quicksight.
  • Experienced with distributed data processing frameworks like Spark.
  • Knowledgeable in designing and maintaining production-level data warehouses and provisioning data lakes.
  • Familiar with software development principles, proficient in Python, and well-versed in data modeling and ETL design patterns.
  • Possesses a growth mindset, excels in problem-solving, and fluent communication both in English.
