About the Role:
We are seeking a Senior Environmental Consultant with project management and environmental impact assessment expertise to join our Capital Project Delivery team in Spain. This is a full-time position with hybrid work arrangements, allowing for flexibility between our Madrid or Barcelona office and remote work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop prefeasibility and environmental & social impact assessment studies, permitting studies, EDD (mainly focused on the Italian market).
- Manage environmental critical aspects to ensure compliance with all applicable Spanish regulations.
- Collaborate across various services and sectors, including Energy (Renewables, Power, Oil & Gas, H2), Infrastructure, CCSU, and Manufacturing.
- Support small-sized projects or whole elements of larger multidisciplinary or global projects.
- Deliver multiple project tasks or components, including proposal development.
- Supervise project teams and mentor junior personnel.
- Establish strong working relationships with clients through project delivery.
- Contribute to commercial activities: Business Development, proposals writing, and pitching.
Requirements:
- A master's degree in environmental engineering, environmental sciences, or relevant disciplines.
- Experience as a project manager and revenue generator.
- Experience in people leadership.
- At least 7 years of experience in consulting or environmental services, with a focus on environmental permitting in Spain, EIA (Environmental Impact Assessment), and/or Environmental Social Due Diligence.
- Familiarity with International Standards (IFC, EBRD, etc.).
- Proficiency in Spanish and English, written and spoken; French is considered an advantage.
- Experience with emerging energy systems (hydrogen, offshore wind, battery storage, floating solar) is a plus.
Salary: We offer a competitive salary range of €70,000 - €100,000 per year, depending on experience, along with additional benefits and career growth opportunities.
