We are seeking a highly skilled Big Data Engineer to contribute to a project with one of our global customers, an international Bank.
As a Big Data Engineer, you will help drive the delivery of Accounting E2E reporting within the Finance strategic transformation program.
You will work with local and group colleagues across the business and Information Technology areas, sharing in the technical and functional vision of the Chief Operating Office.

A high level of English is required.
This is a 100% remote position for people located in Spain.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ability to work across multiple activities adjusting to shifting priorities.
- Delivering Finance cloud applications and data solutions.
- Reporting to a Software Engineering Manager and interacting with the development team, product owner, and business stakeholders.
- Ensuring knowledge sharing and promoting team spirit.
- Analysing current technical implementations and seeking continuous improvement.
- Providing BAU support to a variety of finance solutions.
- Providing technical support and training to technical leads on technology systems and data management tools.
- Leading and mentoring a team of technology and data professionals to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
Mandatory Requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience working with Big Data technologies.
- Experience working with Spark/Scala.
- AM engineering experience.
- Continuous integration/deployment (CI/CD).
- High English level (B2+/C1).
Desirable Requirements:
- Unix/Linux bash shell programming.
- SQL.
- Technical Analysis.
- Data analysis.
- Software development and support.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills with the ability to handle key stakeholders.
