About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Solutions Architect to join our team at Amazon. As a Cloud Solutions Architect, you will play a key role in helping our customers and partners to design and implement cloud-based solutions that meet their business needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work directly with customers and partners to understand their business requirements and design cloud-based solutions that meet their needs.
  • Develop and maintain technical relationships with partners and operate as their trusted adviser.
  • Share the voice of the customer and partners to inform the roadmap of AWS features.
  • Participate in the creation and sharing of best practices, technical content and new reference architectures.
  • Evangelize and educate about AWS technology through workshops, user groups, meetups, public speaking, online videos or conferences.
  • Contribute to the growth of the Solutions Architecture organization by interviewing candidates and having a voice in hiring decisions.
A Day in the Life

In this role, you will have the opportunity to practice your creativity, linking technology to tangible solutions and educating AWS customers and partners about the art of the possible. You will work on implementing or documenting cloud-native reference architectures for a variety of use cases, such as GenAI, Machine Learning, Serverless and Container based architectures, Analytics and Big Data, DevOps or Security.

Basic Qualifications
  • Background in Cloud Architecture, Systems Design, Software Development, Infrastructure Architecture, Data Engineering or DevOps.
  • SA or equivalent experience.
  • Technical Degree (Computer Science, Maths, Engineering or equivalent) and/or relevant tech experience.
  • Fluent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience designing, building, refactoring or operating IT systems - either on premises or in the cloud.
  • Working knowledge of cloud native architectures.
  • Knowledge of a modern programming language (Python, JavaScript, Go,.Net, Java, etc.) and/or scripting, Infrastructure as Code etc.
  • Experience in a customer-facing position and public speaking.
  • AWS/ GCP/ Azure certifications (e.g. AWS Solutions Architect Associate or Professional).
