About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to reinforce exposome research at ISGlobal, focusing on the integration of (multi-)omics approaches in exposome studies across the life course.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop research projects using exposome datasets from several exposome-related cohorts spanning the life course, with focus on biomarkers and molecular mechanisms characterising the effects of environmental risk factors on health.
  • Analyse exposome and omics data to link it with health outcomes.
  • Write scientific papers documenting results.
About You

You will be based in the research group of Professor Martine Vrijheid, with co-supervision from other ISGlobal investigators with expertise in exposome research. To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Educated to doctoral level in epidemiology, bioinformatics, biostatistics, or related topics.
  • Experience in managing and analysing epidemiological data, with experience in environmental epidemiology an asset.
  • Experience in molecular epidemiology, specifically related to immunology, microbiome, metabolome data, an asset.
  • Proficiency in R software for complex statistical analyses.
  • Excellent command of English language and good writing skills.

The successful candidate will receive a salary commensurate with their qualifications and experience, estimated at around €45,000 per year.
