Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Medical Innovation Lead to join our Portfolio Department in Barcelona. This role will report directly to the Head of Portfolio and will be responsible for contributing medical and scientific expertise to the development of new product ideas.
Key Responsibilities- Actively contribute to the ideation and nomination processes of new product ideas, leveraging medical and scientific expertise.
- Provide strategic scientific and medical input to the corporate portfolio strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Assess therapeutic areas and define unmet medical needs, identifying opportunities for growth and innovation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals in various therapeutic areas, facilitating knowledge exchange and feedback.
- Act as a scientific liaison, ensuring that the company's products meet the needs of patients and practitioners.
- Monitor scientific and medical developments in relevant fields, staying up-to-date with industry trends and advancements.
- Support portfolio and commercial teams with scientific and medical content, promoting effective marketing and sales strategies.
- Represent the company in scientific and business events, showcasing expertise and building industry connections.
- Advanced degree in medical or life sciences (e.g., MD, PharmD, PhD, MS).
- Minimum 8 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with a strong understanding of medical strategy, clinical development, and Medical Affairs.
- Experience interacting with healthcare professionals on a peer-to-peer basis, with a proven track record of building and maintaining credible relationships.
- Ability to provide strategic leadership across working groups and teams, with strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach.
- Effective problem-solving skills, with a creative mindset and ability to drive innovation within teams and projects.
