We are seeking a Payroll Manager who will oversee all aspects of payroll processing and administration to ensure accurate and timely payment of wages and benefits to employees. You will be responsible for managing payroll staff, implementing payroll policies and procedures, and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of payroll processes, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Payroll Processing: Oversee the end-to-end payroll process, including data input, calculation of wages, and processing of payroll transactions.
  2. Salary Administration: Ensure accurate and timely payment of salaries, bonuses, commissions, and benefits to employees.
  3. Payroll Review and Approval: Review and approve payroll runs before finalizing payments.
  4. Payroll Management: Manage payroll-related tasks, such as new hire setup, employee deductions, garnishments, and wage adjustments.
  5. Payroll Data Management: Maintain employee records and ensure accuracy of payroll data in the payroll system.
  6. Payroll Corrections: Process payroll corrections and adjustments as needed.
  7. Payroll Compliance: Stay current on federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and regulations.
  8. Payroll Reporting: Ensure compliance with tax withholding requirements, reporting obligations, and filing deadlines.
  9. Payroll Tax Returns: Prepare and submit payroll tax returns, including W-2 forms and quarterly filings.
  10. Employee Benefits Administration: Coordinate with HR and benefits departments to administer employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave accruals.
  11. Benefits Deductions: Deduct and remit employee contributions for benefits programs.
  12. Payroll Audits: Conduct periodic audits of payroll records to ensure accuracy and compliance with policies and regulations.
  13. Payroll Escalations: Respond to audit inquiries and provide documentation as needed.
  14. Payroll Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation in payroll processes.
  15. Payroll Best Practices: Implement best practices to streamline payroll operations and enhance efficiency.
  16. Payroll Leadership: Supervise and mentor payroll staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality work and professional development.
  17. Payroll Performance Evaluation: Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
  18. Payroll Vendor Management: Liaise with payroll service providers and software vendors to ensure smooth operation of payroll systems and services.
  19. Payroll Issue Resolution: Resolve issues and escalations related to payroll services.
