Job Summary

The Association of Academic Museums & Galleries seeks a visionary Museum Director to lead its esteemed institution. As a seasoned professional, you will be responsible for overseeing the strategic direction of the museum, ensuring the highest standards of curatorial excellence, and fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan to drive the museum's mission and vision forward.
• Lead a team of curators, educators, and administrators in the development and execution of exhibitions, programs, and services.
• Manage the museum's collections, including acquisition, conservation, and interpretation.
• Build and maintain partnerships with academic institutions, cultural organizations, and community groups to advance the museum's mission.
• Oversee the museum's budget, ensuring fiscal responsibility and sustainability.
• Collaborate with the Board of Directors to set museum policies and goals.

Requirements

• Master's degree in museum studies, fine art, art history, or a related field.
• At least six years of experience in museum leadership, with a proven track record of success in curatorial, educational, or administrative roles.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred but not required.
