Join Powerco's Logistics Team

We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Service Provider Expert to play a key role in our cell manufacturing ramp-up in Valencia. As a member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the entire material flow process, ensuring seamless integration with our central logistics operations and high standards of safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support equipment logistics for the VA plant
  • Manage networking and agenda coordination with local authorities and internal coordination with the communication department
  • Analyze HS classification for import purposes (for all non-EU materials)
  • Create the data analysis structure for the first-tier suppliers' network for the Inbound Logistics department
  • Support tendering local (VA) transport companies and framework agreements and onboarding local (VA) transport companies
  • Select a customs agent for PowerCo VA
  • Support materials supplier sourcing and VAT-related transportation
  • Coordinate and work together with the Headquarter in Salzgitter and plant network (e.g. Salzgitter, St. Thomas (Canada))
  • Coordinate and work together with different departments like HSE, HR, finance, purchasing, construction, manufacturing, quality, logistics, technical areas, and legal from the requirement site as well for permission or legal requirement or contractual points
  • Optimize the VA local transport network and gather lessons learned for process improvements
  • Manage port special activities (inspections, damages, etc.) and be the contact point for local last mile Port-Factory deliveries incidents
  • Manage customs-related topics: Import documents control & customs clearance management
Requirements:
  • A University degree in the field of logistics, economics or comparable qualification
  • Professional experience in the field of logistics, preferably inbound and disposition
  • Experience in dealing with external suppliers
  • Technical expertise related to data analysis
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to operate effectively within environments of fluctuating priorities and occasional ambiguity
  • A global mindset with a customer-driven approach, capable of building trust and fostering strong relationships
  • Fluency in English and Spanish; German language skills are a significant plus
