Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop a web application to support users in searching datasets important for our researchers to deliver life-changing medicines.
- Engage with stakeholders to understand their requirements and create mockups to quickly validate ideas and designs with users.
- Develop the web software specification and ensure seamless integration with existing systems.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proven senior experience in developing front-end web applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Developing user interfaces with an eye for aesthetics and creating engaging user experiences.
- Developing website search functionality and building applications on top of APIs.
- Experience working with biomedical data and search engine tools like Solr or Elastic Search.
- Experience with Vaadin is preferable but not essential, and experience with JavaScript would be a plus.
