About the Role:

This position reports to the Service Manager and is part of the Motion Service team in Madrid. As a Motors Field Engineer, you will execute service work with low to medium complexity, following ABB standard processes, quality standards, and safety guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with customers to identify opportunities to improve their operations and eliminate pain points.
  • Perform field service tasks, identify technical issues, and perform analysis through remote or on-site activity in service categories and products.
  • Prepare material lists needed for service activity and ensure that all materials, parts, and equipment are available and of appropriate quality for service activities.
  • Troubleshoot equipment/process failures, request proactive corrective actions, and make recommendations to avoid such issues in the future.

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years' higher education or an electrical engineering degree.
  • More than 4 years of experience in jobs like commissioning, maintenance, technical assistance in motors and generators.
  • Ability to demonstrate experience in electrical engineering, working as a technician with motors and generators.
  • Safe and ethical leadership attitude; good understanding of functional safety standards and project practices.
  • Dedicated team player with a strong customer orientation.
  • Spoken and written Spanish native or high level.
  • Good command of English, additional language skills are welcome.
  • Leadership and initiative, excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Available to travel and adjust working hours.
  • Valid driving license for Spain are required.
