At Ontex, a leading international provider of disposable personal hygiene solutions, we are seeking an experienced HR Manager to join our team in Buggenhout, Belgium.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering broad HR services to our Buggenhout production plant, employing over 600 people. This includes managing and motivating a team of three people, maintaining excellent employee relations, and liaising between management and employees to resolve problems and conflicts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and motivate a team of three HR professionals, ensuring they have the necessary skills and tools to perform their duties effectively.
  • Maintain excellent employee relations by creating a positive social climate and taking appropriate action when necessary.
  • Liaise between management and employees to assist in resolving problems and conflicts.
  • Translate and implement company HR policies at the factory site, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Advise management on personnel matters, helping them to take on their leadership roles and support changes within the organization.
  • Ensure smooth processes throughout the personnel lifecycle, from selection and onboarding to performance management and workforce planning.
Requirements
  • Master's or bachelor's degree in psychology, law, or social work.
  • At least five to eight years of experience in HR, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Belgian labor and social legislation, as well as employee benefits.
  • Excellent communication, empowering, and negotiating skills.
  • Proficient computer skills, including MS Office and HRIS.
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of approximately €60,000 - €80,000 per year, depending on experience, plus additional benefits, including health insurance, pension plan, and paid time off.
