The Role

Veeva Link supports the life sciences industry by building connected data applications to improve research and patient outcomes. It helps professionals find the right people for clinical trials, education programs, or advisory boards, reducing the time-to-market of essential drugs and spreading information about new treatments.

As a member of our team, you will contribute to creating and maintaining an enterprise data platform that empowers manual data curation. You'll take part in the architectural enhancement process, care for the quality of the outcome, and ensure monitoring, metrics, and general observability are part of the feature design process.

Your Responsibilities
  • Develop new functionality for the data curation platform
  • Implement improvements to existing functionalities
  • Integrate software components into a full solution
  • Work with very large data sets
  • Focus on application performance
  • Analyze feature requirements, provide technical feedback, and estimations
Requirements
  • 4+ years of professional experience developing web services with Python
  • Very strong understanding of Python and its core libraries, with experience in at least one major Python framework (FastAPI, Django, or Flask)
  • Very good understanding of data modeling and storage using SQL and/or NoSQL databases (Postgres, MySQL, MongoDB, or similar)
  • Experience deploying software and managing infrastructure
  • Strong knowledge of software design patterns (MVC, microservices, Hexagonal/Onion architectures)
  • Proficiency in designing and developing APIs and building data-intensive applications
  • Excellent testing, debugging, and documentation skills
  • Excellent communication skills in English
