About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Multiplayer Network Programmer to join our team at Empresa reconocida. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing the network/multiplayer software stack for our in-house Glacier engine and any in-house games that require multiplayer capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Network Architecture and Implementation: Design and implement the network architecture for our multiplayer games, ensuring seamless communication between clients and servers.
  2. Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with the AI and gameplay teams to define and implement network-aware features, workflows, and setups.
  3. Server and Backend Infrastructure: Share responsibility with the online team to create, run, and monitor our game servers and backend infrastructure.
  4. Network Optimization and Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve network-related issues, ensuring optimal performance and player experience.
Requirements
  1. Experience in AAA Multiplayer Game Development: You have a proven track record of shipping at least one AAA multiplayer game, with a strong understanding of the complexities involved.
  2. Programming Skills: You are proficient in C/C++ and have experience working with proprietary engines.
  3. Multiplayer Technology Expertise: You have in-depth knowledge of multiplayer-related technologies, including firewall traversal, data compression and encryption, distributed algorithms, mesh topologies, object replication, prediction models, latency compensation, and anti-cheating.
  4. Integration and Navigation: You are experienced in navigating and integrating new technologies into large existing codebases.
