About the Role

ICE Consultants is seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our team in Barcelona. As a Java Developer, you will be part of a dynamic team working on innovative projects using Agile methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Software Design
    • Develop technical specifications for approval by the project manager and execution by developers.
    • Translate logical designs into physical designs and produce detailed design documentation.
    • Ensure user needs are met and remove errors and deviations from specification to achieve user-friendly processes.
  • Software Development
    • Design, code, test, correct, and document complex programs and scripts from specifications using company standards and tools.
    • Develop high-quality code and create Java-based services and applications using J2EE, Spring Framework, and Web Services.
    • Review your own work and lead reviews of less experienced colleagues to ensure high-quality code.
  • Assessment and Continuous Improvement
    • Assess and study emerging technologies and products.
    • Provide detailed advice regarding applications by proposing new ways of working.
    • Incorporate feedback and input to constantly improve applications.
  • Consulting and Management (Optional)
    • Assist consultants in implementation tasks, such as functional design and configuration of vendor software.
    • Mentor junior developers.
