About the Opportunity
The Digital Modernization Sector of Leidos is seeking a highly skilled Network Infrastructure Engineer to support efforts for the OCONUS Enterprise Network (ONE-Net) portion of the NGEN-R Service Management, Integration, and Transport (SMIT) contract in Rota, Spain.
As part of the largest IT services program for the Navy, this position will play a crucial role in unifying shore-based networks and data management to improve capability and service while saving significant dollars by focusing efforts under one enterprise network.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing Tier II/III support, on-site SME support, and engineering efforts on the ONE-Net server and network infrastructure in Rota, Spain. This includes integrating ONE-Net enterprise engineering efforts involving Naval Computer and Telecommunications Station (NCTS) Europe.
Key responsibilities include:
- Tier Level II/III support for the LNSC (Local Network Service Center) for ONE-Net.
- Coordinate all maintenance and restoration activities with the TNOSC and LNSC engineers and leadership on a daily basis.
- Provide technical support for NIPR/SIPR services to all customers located on the naval base and remote sites in Lisbon, Valencia, and Madrid.
- Responsible for IOS upgrades on all ONE-Net related network devices on the base.
- Work closely with NIWC on all new additions to the network.
- Responsible for the configuration and testing of all new additions.
- Work closely with all visiting teams performing work related to the expansion and upgrades to ONE-Net related systems and infrastructure.
- Responsible for upkeep of the base infrastructure (routers, switches, UPS, crypto devices, etc).
- Perform maintenance tasks on the ONE-Net servers (replace power supplies, hard disks, fans, tape drives, etc).
- Assist with One-Net system refresh and deployments.
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field and minimum 4 years previous relevant experience; or Master's Degree in a related field and minimum 2 years previous relevant experience. An additional 4 years of experience may be substituted for a degree.
- US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance.
- Compliant with DoD 8570 IAT Level II (Security+, CCNA Security, etc.).
- Possess a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification.
A salary of $81,250 - $146,875 is offered for this role, reflecting the company's commitment to fair compensation for talented professionals like yourself.
