Moffatt & Nichol is a global leader in waterfront infrastructure projects, renowned for its expertise in large, complex projects.

We are seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Specialist to support our software development lifecycle in Valencia.

The role involves analyzing and implementing business logic within a cloud microservices ecosystem, adhering to best practices and standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for seamless application deployment.
  • Monitor processes throughout their lifecycle, ensuring adherence and updating or creating new processes to improve and minimize waste.
  • Utilize infrastructure as code (IaC) to guarantee reproducibility and scalability of systems.
  • Promote and construct automated processes.
  • Integrate security controls.
  • Conduct reporting and monitoring.
  • Monitor system performance, security, and reliability, and implement proactive measures to prevent potential issues.

FinOps:

  • Seek opportunities to optimize costs while ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Control costs.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices to continually improve cloud and DevOps strategies.

Qualifications:

Over three years of experience in managing DevOps processes at an enterprise scale, with a strong foundation in DevOps practices and principles, including CI/CD and IaC (Terraform).

Demonstrated expertise in deploying and overseeing cloud infrastructure with at least one major cloud provider (Azure, AWS, or GCP).

Proficient with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.

Basic familiarity with data-centric frameworks and tools like Kafka, Confluent, databases, data lakes, or Spark.

Competent in scripting, with a fundamental grasp of networking concepts and security protocols in cloud settings.

Capable of collaborative work in a dynamic, agile environment.

Possesses excellent problem-solving capabilities and a proactive approach to challenges.

Outstanding communication abilities, encompassing verbal, written, and presentation skills.

Physical Requirements:

Sedentary for prolonged periods of time, interact with clients, and travel occasionally.
