Role Overview


We are seeking a Rooftop Host/Hostess to join our team at The Hoxton, Poblenou in Barcelona.


The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a warm and welcoming demeanor, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.


In this role, you will be responsible for creating a memorable experience for our guests, ensuring they feel valued and supported throughout their stay.



About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a talented team of hospitality professionals.


As a Rooftop Host/Hostess, you will be the face of our hotel, interacting with guests, responding to their needs, and providing personalized service to exceed their expectations.


You will be working closely with the rest of the team to ensure seamless operations, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organization, and safety.


Your primary responsibility will be to create a positive atmosphere, anticipating guest needs, and providing attentive and intuitive service.


Key responsibilities include:



  • Welcoming and greeting guests upon arrival and departure
  • Providing information about hotel amenities and services
  • Assisting with room assignments, key distribution, and other administrative tasks
  • Maintaining accurate records of guest interactions, preferences, and special requests
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to resolve any issues or concerns
  • Participating in ongoing training and development programs to enhance your skills and knowledge


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:



  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A strong focus on delivering exceptional customer service
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Fluency in Spanish and English, with Catalan and additional languages an asset
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays
