About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our Infrastructure Instrumentation team in Europe. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for building, maintaining, and scaling Rust and Go clients/projects as well as their support tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain Rust and Go clients/projects, including their support tools.
  • Contribute to Open Source projects, such as OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, and others.
  • Collaborate with team members to discuss and implement service improvements, research new tools and services to solve sophisticated problems.
  • Ship incrementally and often, helping the team to maintain a constant flow of feedback on its work.
  • Work in an agile environment with a DevOps approach, building and maintaining software, including participating in second-layer support rotations.
Requirements
  • At least three years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on open source software, Linux systems, and Rust programming language.
  • Passion for open source software, Linux systems, software architectures, and Rust programming language.
  • Autonomous, cross-functional, and agile person who thrives in a fast-paced environment focused on delivering high-quality software at a regular cadence.
  • Self-motivated, learn fast, keep accountable, and demonstrate creative problem-solving skills.
  • Experience developing instrumentation products, developing on different Unix OSes and Windows, and upstream contributions to relevant Open Source projects.
