We are seeking a highly skilled Senior 3D Prop/Generalist Artist to join our team in Barcelona. As a key member of our Art Department, you will be responsible for creating high-quality 3D assets, including props, weapons, and gear, using the latest modeling and texturing techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create high-quality, stylized 3D assets using reference photographs and Concept Art materials.
- Model assets using industry-leading game engines such as Unity or Unreal.
- Collaborate with other creative departments to ensure that props function as intended.
- Integrate and validate your work within the Unity game engine, ensuring performance and technical quality.
- Troubleshoot asset errors and address creative feedback in keeping with the project's visual direction.
- Mentor Intermediate and Junior 3D Prop Artists.
- Contribute to improving the pipeline and the technology that we're using.
- Document and communicate workflow and best practices to support consistency across the Art Team.
Requirements:
- High-quality portfolio of gamedev-relevant 3D Prop Art, preferably with an emphasis on stylization.
- Able to interpret and follow reference material to create clean, detailed, and accurate 3D models.
- Experience with industry-leading game engines such as Unity or Unreal.
- A mixture of hard surface and organic asset modeling skills.
- A strong understanding of shape, form, and composition.
- Proven abilities in optimized 3D asset creation.
- Proficiency with industry-standard modeling tools such as 3DSMAX, Maya, Blender, Zbrush, and texture/material authoring tools such as Photoshop and Substance.
- Solid experience with PBR workflows.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to be resourceful and come up with creative solutions.
- The ability to work well within a team.
- Effective time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
