Senior Security Operations Lead, Data Center Protection

About the Role:
\rAmazon is seeking a seasoned Security Operations Lead to manage the physical security of our data centers. As a key member of our team, you will oversee the daily operations of vendors providing services, training, and risk assessments. You will conduct investigations of Code of Conduct and other violations as needed.
\You will collaborate with other teams within Amazon and outside partners to ensure seamless daily operations. You will develop security plans for on-site special events and unique security situations, ensuring proper access control and evacuation procedures are followed.
\Your Responsibilities:

- Manage the daily operations of vendors providing services, training, and risk assessments\
- Conduct investigations of Code of Conduct and other violations as needed\
- Collaborate with other teams within Amazon and outside partners to ensure seamless daily operations\
- Develop security plans for on-site special events and unique security situations\
- Ensure proper access control and evacuation procedures are followed\
- Partner with DC Engineering and other Amazon business units to identify safety and security deficiencies\
- Develop customized policies and procedures to gain compliance with regulations internal and external to Amazon\
- Work closely with peers in other geographic regions and travel as required by Amazon\
- Perform data analysis and create benchmarking to support risk assessments and threat identification\
- Supervise employees and contractors performing specific security and safety objectives\
- Monitor vendor performance and expenses\
- Coordinate physical security, investigations, and risk/threat assessments\
- Raise security awareness and implement best practices among team members\
- Keep up-to-date with industry developments and emerging threats\
- Enhance relationships with internal and external partners to maintain and enhance security and safety\
- Assist in maintaining knowledge management systems and security documentation\
- Maintain accurate records and reports related to security incidents and events\
- Support audit and compliance activities related to security operations\
- Ensure adherence to company policies, standards, and regulatory requirements\
- Take ownership of implementing solutions to address gaps and vulnerabilities in security operations\
- Foster an inclusive and respectful work environment that values diversity and promotes collaboration\

\Minimum Requirements:
\- \
- 10+ years of security operations experience\
- 5+ years in a leadership role\
- Extensive corporate and/or infrastructure security experience\
- Significant experience in conducting risk assessments, risk management, planning, and auditing\
- Hold Professional Identity Card (TIP) as security director qualification or ability to obtain one\
- Hold Habilitacion Personal de Seguridad (HPS) or the ability to obtain one\
- Fluent English, both verbal and written\
- People management skills\
- Knowledge of current security technology, including access control, CCTV, identification, and special applications\\
