Job Title: Senior Frontend Software Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Frontend Software Engineer to join our team at Merlin Digital Partner. As a key member of our digital transformation team, you will play a pivotal role in crafting exceptional user interfaces and experiences.

About the Role:

As a Senior Frontend Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality, scalable web applications using Angular and Vanilla JavaScript. You will work closely with a UI/UX designer to implement designs that are both functional and aesthetically pleasing. Your expertise will be essential in optimizing applications for performance and scalability across a wide range of devices and browsers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain high-quality, scalable web applications using Angular and Vanilla JavaScript.
  • Collaborate with a UI/UX designer to implement designs that are both functional and aesthetically pleasing.
  • Optimize applications for performance and scalability across a wide range of devices and browsers.
  • Ensure high-quality code through best practices, including code reviews and continuous integration.
  • Translate design prototypes into interactive, responsive user interfaces.
  • Provide insights and recommendations on improving user journeys and design elements based on current trends and user feedback.
  • Mentor other developers and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in front-end development, with a strong portfolio showcasing Angular and Vanilla JavaScript projects.
  • Extensive knowledge of Angular framework, including Angular CLI, RxJS, and component-based architecture.
  • In-depth understanding of core JavaScript principles, including ES6+ features, DOM manipulation, and asynchronous programming.
  • Proven experience in translating design systems into functional interfaces. Strong understanding of user-centered design principles, typography, color theory, and layout techniques.
  • Proficiency in building responsive web applications using HTML, CSS, and frameworks like Bootstrap or Tailwind CSS.
  • Ability to handle cross-browser compatibility issues and optimize for various browsers and devices.
  • Familiarity with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD. Experience with front-end build tools like Webpack, NPM, and Git version control.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for debugging.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with experience working in Agile environments.
  • Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.
  • Proficient in English - French is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with server-side rendering and optimization techniques.
  • Experience with Java, Spring Boot, and REST APIs.
