Senior Java Solutions Architect

We are seeking skilled engineers to join our Technology division as Senior Product Developers.
In this position, you will be an integral part of the team responsible for advancing the Denodo Platform. You will engage with one of the teams that develop and sustain various modules of the Denodo Platform along with its related tools and extensions. There is potential for transitioning to different teams in the future based on your skills and interests, with opportunities to take on leadership roles.
Your work will encompass a variety of domains within product development, including but not limited to:
- Creating connectors for source integration
- Enhancing the execution engine
- Optimizing queries
- Developing cache engines
- Implementing monitoring and resource management
- Managing environments for server and tool installations
- Facilitating automatic deployments, including in cloud settings
- Scheduling tasks and enabling parallel execution
- Supporting self-service data discovery
- Developing client tools
The technologies and external tools you will engage with are extensive and varied. You will work with different database types (relational, multidimensional, parallel, document-oriented), Big Data sources, SaaS platforms, Web Services, message queues, and technologies related to authentication and authorization (Identity Providers, SAML, OAuth, Kerberos, Vaults). Additionally, you will utilize cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), web technologies (both backend and frontend), indexing and search engines (Lucene, Elasticsearch), business intelligence tools, workflow management systems, version control systems, and more.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive comprehensive training on the Denodo Platform at the user level to gain an understanding of the product.
- Participate in training on the development processes and tools utilized at Denodo (including Redmine, Git, Jenkins, Sonar, automated testing frameworks).
- After initial training, integrate into a team responsible for developing and maintaining a specific module of the Denodo Platform, with tailored training for that module.
- Focus on developing new features and maintaining existing functionalities, with a strong emphasis on designing and implementing automated tests.
- Contribute to the creation and upkeep of product documentation.
Qualifications
We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Software Development.
- Experience in leading technical teams or significant experience in designing and developing complex features that impact software architecture.
- Proficiency in Java SE and Java/Jakarta EE programming.
- Familiarity with Design Patterns.
- Experience with Development Lifecycle and Version Control, preferably Maven and Git.
- Knowledge of SQL and relational database design.
- Strong written communication skills in English.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A collaborative team player with a positive attitude.

- Development in distributed application environments.
- Software security techniques and technologies.
- Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and related technologies.
- Java Web Applications and associated technologies, particularly server-side.

- Cloud data warehouses, cloud data lake engines, and NoSQL databases.
