About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Metallic Coating Engineer to join our team at Payload Aerospace. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing metallic coatings for our rocket engines.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and choose the best procedure for each process.
  • Define the optimum parameters for each process.
  • Define and create the required documentation for the execution of each process.
  • Establish the required controls and tests.
  • Process data and results evaluation, setting corrective or improvement actions if needed.
  • Deal with suppliers of raw materials and equipment.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor in Aeronautical/Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering with specialization in Materials.
  • At least 3 years of experience in electroplating processes for non-ferrous metals.
  • Deep knowledge of chemistry of electrochemical processes.
  • Experience in parametrization and optimization of complex processes.
  • Knowledge of masking (types, preparation, application...).
  • Knowledge of characterization techniques for metallic coatings.
  • Experience in the aeronautical and/or the space sector.
  • Experience working with ERP and LIMS systems.
  • Used to work with diverse standards (ISO, ASTM, ECSS, MIL, NACE...).
  • Familiar with the sources of scientific production.
  • Used to work under pressure without losing safety nor quality.
  • Methodical and with the ability to synthesize.
  • Strict compliance with HSE rules.
  • Agile, proactive and oriented towards achievements.
  • Able to teamwork and to interact with all the involved departments.
