Strategic Commercial Director

Job Summary
As a Commercial Lead at Abbott Laboratories, you will be responsible for driving strategic direction and achieving sales targets in the Ex-India markets. This role involves planning and executing new brand launches, creating strong marketing plans, and monitoring activities critical to business needs. You will also be responsible for controlling and monitoring sales returns, damages, and expiry stocks, as well as ensuring financial compliance and adherence to company norms.
Key Responsibilities
• Strategic Direction: Provide strategic direction to the 2 regions of Ex-India markets and ensure the achievement of topline sales numbers.
• Financial Compliance: Ensure financial compliance by monitoring and controlling SG&A spends, timely and risk-free realization from customers, and ensuring no financial risk to the company.
• Business Planning: Monitor business planning for both regions through HCP coverage, market coverage, and conducting monthly RTMs to review area performance and forecast.
• Distribution Management: Monitor pipelines across distributors in the Ex-India markets, plan and monitor execution of secondary sales plans, and lead regional team meetings to review area-wise performance.
• Code of Conduct and Compliance: Ensure adherence to ethical, medical, trade adherence to code of conduct, sales SOP, financial and administration systems, and statutory and regulatory norms.
• Team Development: Develop distributor/importer teams through coaching, reward management, identifying training needs, motivating and providing leadership, and facilitating training for ASM's and their teams.
• In-Store Retail Execution & Localized Trade Marketing Initiatives: Ensure best-in-class implementation of channel loyalty programs and oversee design and implementation of innovative trade marketing activities.
