The Opportunity

We're seeking a talented Data Engineer to join our team. As a Data Engineer at Quantexa, you'll play a key role in building and deploying production-level data processing systems. You'll work with our award-winning software to contextualize data and help our clients solve business problems in areas including fraud, financial crime, data management, risk, and customer intelligence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement high-quality, fault-tolerant, and efficient code for production-level data processing systems.
  • Configure and deploy Quantexa software using tools such as Spark, Hadoop, Scala, Elasticsearch, and cloud platforms like Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, and Amazon.
  • Collaborate with our solution architects and R&D engineers to champion solutions and standards for complex big data challenges.
  • Articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and provide expert guidance on data engineering best practices.
Requirements
  • At least 18 months of industry experience in a data engineering role or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in Scala, Java, Python, or a programming language associated with data engineering.
  • Experience with modern development tooling, such as Git, Gradle, Nexus, Jenkins, Docker, and Bash scripting.
  • Strong technical communication skills and experience working in rapidly changing client environments.
  • Knowledge of testing libraries and experience with unit testing and integration testing.
