About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Senior Urban Designer (Project Manager) to join our dynamic team in Barcelona. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for overseeing large-scale urban/master planning projects and design initiatives, ensuring seamless execution and successful delivery.
Responsibilities- Defend BIG's design intent throughout all phases.
- Lead team and project coordination efforts.
- Report to the Partner-in-Charge.
- Communicate effectively with clients and consultant teams.
- Produce contract documents.
- Manage and mentor team members.
- Provide technical guidance and innovative solutions to resolve complex technical and design challenges.
- 10+ years of experience in large-scale urban/master planning projects and design, with management/leading experience.
- Middle eastern masterplan experience.
- Experience in design-lead and project-management roles.
- Excellent English language skills (speaking, writing, and presentation).
- Strong client management and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- A flexible and open attitude towards new ways of working.
- Experience with managing and coordinating project stakeholders, local authorities, and approving bodies, as well as sub-consultants.
- Ability to take initiative in response to direction from directors and partners.
We offer a competitive salary scheme based on experience and qualifications, ranging from €90,000 to €110,000 per year, depending on your background and expertise.
