Head Gardener

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Gardener to join our team at the Balearics private estate. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the garden team and ensuring the estate's gardens, lawns, orchards, and wild gardens are maintained to the highest standards.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in horticulture, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work well in a small team. They will be responsible for designing and implementing new garden features, maintaining accurate garden plans, and organizing the operations of the gardens and its team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the garden team and ensure the estate's gardens are maintained to the highest standards
• Design and implement new garden features, including lawns, orchards, and wild gardens
• Maintain accurate garden plans and records
• Organize the operations of the gardens and its team, including equipment maintenance and management
• Work closely with the owner to develop and implement new garden designs and plans

Requirements:

• Relevant horticulture qualifications (NCH, HND, OND, City & Guilds etc.)
• Excellent horticultural knowledge and leadership skills
• Technical machinery and servicing knowledge
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a small team and lead by example

Benefits:
