Legal Counsel Opportunity at Clarios

Clarios, a world leader in advanced energy storage solutions, is seeking a highly skilled Legal Counsel to join our team in Burgos, Spain.

About the Role

As a Legal Counsel, you will provide legal support and advice to our company on various matters, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. You will work closely with our General Counsel EMEA and other departments to provide practical, business-savvy counseling on commercial transactions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide legal advice and support to various departments, including sales, procurement, human resources, finance, and marketing.
  • Manage specific customer relationships as Business Partner identified by the GC EMEA.
  • Review, draft, and negotiate commercial agreements, such as supply agreements, distribution contracts, and procurement contracts.
  • Advise on and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Assist in managing legal disputes and litigation matters, including liaising with external counsel and preparing legal documents.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain corporate policies and procedures.
  • Support M&A and other corporate transactions, including conducting due diligence and drafting transaction documents.
Requirements
  • A Law degree (University / State examination or equivalent).
  • Admission to practice law in Spain is a plus.
  • 3 years of transactional experience, preferably in the automotive/manufacturing industry or in a reputable law firm or a corporate legal department of a multi-national corporation.
  • Demonstrated expertise in commercial transactions and Spanish labor/employment law.
  • Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Team player with a proactive approach, strong interpersonal skills, and a willingness to collaborate across departments.
