Job Title: Cloud Engineer, Presencial

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineer to join our team at Ofg Adquisiciones E Ingeniería. As a Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining cloud-based systems and applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement cloud-based systems and applications
  • Ensure high availability and fault tolerance of cloud services
  • Collaborate with internal and external customers to create new features and improve existing functionality
  • Manage Openstack and report creation for customers about KPIS and Analytics
  • Lead migration from VMware to Public Cloud

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in a production cloud environment
  • Strong understanding of implementing high-availability backup/DR and business continuity services in the cloud
  • Experience in administering Linux and Unix
  • 2+ years of experience deploying or administering VMWare or RHEV
  • 2+ years of experience with devops tools including but not limited to Ansible Jenkins Terraform

Desired Qualities and Experience:

  • Experience in Java or another web language (php python ruby perl and go)
  • Demonstrated working knowledge in Amazon Web Services specifically but not limited to toolsets like EC2 S3 VPC Glacier Elastic IP and Cloud Trail and regional continuity setup
  • Skilled in managing the performance of cloud workloads and storage systems hosted in AWS or other cloud providers (Azure Google Cloud OCI)
  • Scripting skills and familiarity with AWS CLI
  • AWS and ITIL certification are a big plus

Additional Requirements:

  • You are comfortable working with HTML CSS and JavaScript
  • You have a strong understanding of large scale computing solutions including software design and development database architectures IP networking security and performance tuning
  • You have knowledge of cloud security orchestration or management
  • You are opinionated but respectful and enjoy discussion that will drive standards for the entire team
  • A bachelors degree in Engineering or similar field required
