About the Job
ISGlobal is seeking a highly motivated PhD student to join our team in the area of epidemiology. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a cutting-edge project focused on the development of a new device for the triage and risk-stratification of sick newborns in low- and middle-income countries.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development of studies with the preparation of protocols, design, collection of data, and data analysis.
- Contribute to the determination of the prognostic performance of the Minimal Viable Product (MVP) of X-trem device.
- Compare sTREM-1 with a wide range of biomarkers and prognostic algorithms.
Requirements
- Speciality in Biomedicine or similar.
- Expertise in epidemiological studies, statistical analysis of study results, and knowledge of field implementation activities in low- and middle-income countries.
- High level of English and preferably Portuguese and French.
