Ancillary Pricing Analyst

Job Purpose
As a key member of the ancillary pricing team at Vueling Airlines Sa, you will be responsible for utilizing data to maximize revenue for the airline's diverse portfolio of ancillary products, while mitigating costs. This role involves developing and implementing next-generation price optimization models and supporting analytics to drive ancillary growth.
Main Accountabilities
• Analyze pricing structures for products to ensure they are performing as expected and identify new opportunities.
• Conduct thorough analysis of data to identify patterns, trends, and insights that inform pricing strategies.
• Utilize regression analysis, clustering, and classification techniques to understand and predict customer behavior and market dynamics.
• Apply optimization techniques to determine the most effective pricing strategies based on factors such as capacity, historical data, experiment data, and market conditions.
Main Responsibilities
• Improve revenue for ancillary products through data-driven pricing strategies.
• Collaborate with revenue management, data engineers, data scientists, digital, and distribution teams to refine product pricing strategies.
• Perform exploratory data analysis to gain insight into customers' purchase behavior and develop product and customer-centric analytics.
• Work with the ancillary team to provide insights that drive further refinement of the ancillary product portfolio.
• Support forecasting efforts for ancillary revenue and loyalty teams to drive total revenue.

Requirements
• Undergraduate degree in statistics, mathematics, finance, economics, operations research, computer science, or a combination of the above.
• 2 years' experience in the airline/travel industry, within revenue or commercial related functions.
• Demonstrated understanding of economics and airline (or related) commercial metrics.
