Senior Geologist

Cameco Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Senior Geologist to join our McArthur River team. As a key member of our Geology Department, you will be responsible for managing tasks and duties, ensuring consistent performance across the department, and aligning with the priorities of the mine operation.

• Manage drill programs and oversee drillhole design by the mine geologists.
• Provide oversight for underground development mapping, data management, and quality assurance/control.
• Supervise staff conducting radiometric probing and scanning.
• Assist with geological and resource modeling, and estimations.
• Collaborate on new technology solutions and communicate with other departments to develop solutions to problems and issues.
• Provide coaching and mentorship to the geological team and relief core logging.

• Bachelor's degree in geology or geological engineering.
• Minimum of eight years of relevant geological experience.
• Eligible for membership with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS).
• Ability and willingness to perform manual labor, including heavy lifting, as required for this position.
• Valid class 5 driver's license.
• Safety-oriented work attitude.
• Work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft.

• Experience working in a mine geology and underground work environment.
• Previous work experience with uranium-specific stope reserve modeling and production reconciliations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent computer skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
