Shipboard Hair Stylist

Job Summary:
This position is based on a Cruise Ship. We are seeking a skilled Hair Stylist to join our onboard spa team.

Responsibilities and Duties:
Be on time for your shift, prompt with each appointment, and perform services within the appropriate time allotted for the service.
Provide consistent professional hair treatments following spa protocols and accepted certification practices.
Be flexible with your schedule to support the spa's needs.
Properly care for equipment and use the correct amounts of product to assist with cost controls.
Have complete knowledge and understanding of all services and products, while educating and training guests in these areas.
Actively promote home care programs to meet minimum retail sales goals.
Uphold the standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by law and the spa's policies and procedures.
Actively promote the spa, treatments, services, seminars, retail, programs, promotions, and discounts available.

Qualifications and Skills:
Must hold and maintain a Hairdressing diploma/license and/or Barber diploma/license.
Good strong confident blow-drying skills on hair of ALL types (particular emphasis on blow-drying straight without the aid of straighteners).
Good cutting skills and ability to adapt to guests' style requirements.
Ability to work in a cost-effective manner with products.
