Job Description

Transforming Cyber Threat Intelligence at Siemens

Siemens Defense Platform is a team dedicated to evolving and maintaining Threat Intelligence solutions used by our worldwide Cyber Threat Intelligence team. With over a decade of experience in our industrial environment, we provide actionable information to stakeholders, including Siemens CERT and Siemens CyberDefense Center, to support threat-based decision making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Improve Cyber Threat Intelligence at Siemens through project work, primarily involving code writing
  • Collaborate with internal security teams to implement and automate threat intelligence-related processes
  • Contribute improvements, ideas, and features for internal applications and processes
  • Develop new features and integrate them into our applications
  • Increase automation in our environment and improve CI/CD pipelines
  • Operate and troubleshoot our applications on-premises and in the cloud
Requirements
  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience in Security Engineering, Software development, or DevOps Engineering
  • Significant experience with software development using Python, web frameworks like Django/Fast API, JavaScript, Vue, REST APIs, and Open API
  • Significant experience with Cyber Threat Intelligence Platforms like MISP and Cyber Threat Intelligence feeds like STIX and TAXII
  • Advanced technical system expertise with Linux, Kubernetes, AWS, Docker, Terraform, Gitlab CI, Elastic Search, and Configuration Management (Ansible, Puppet)
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to present and explain complex technical topics to both management and technical experts
  • Ability to work in a self-guided and result-oriented fashion with a clear desire to become an acknowledged technical expert
  • Advanced communication skills with clear and concise communication and the ability to address stakeholders of diverse backgrounds and technical expertise
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
Preferred Qualifications
  • Cloud Security expertise
  • Work experience in a SOC, CSIRT, CERT, or similar security team
  • Experience with IAM (OAuth2 / OpenID)
  • Experience with Zero Trust architecture
